Laurie is delighted to announce that she’ll be working on a graphic novel about Wonder Woman for DC Ink!
DC has recruited a lineup of notable YA and middle grade authors to write the books, among them: Laurie Halse Anderson (Speak), Melissa de la Cruz (Au Pairs), Gene Luen Yang (Boxers and Saints), Mariko Tamaki (This One Summer), Minh Lê (Let Me Finish), Ridley Pearson (The Kingdom Keepers), and Shea Fontana and Yancey Labat, the creative duo that produced the DC Super Hero Girls graphic novels.
The book will be called Wonder Woman: Tempest Tossed, and will publish in 2019. Check out the full details of DC’s announcement in Publishers Weekly.
Hey, Mrs. Anderson I just wanted to say that I loved the books Speak and Twisted. Out of the two, I related most to the book Twisted. I really really loved it. I had to read when I was a junior in high school and I had two weeks to read it and I finished it in three days because I didn’t want to put it down. It has been a little over a year since I read it as a junior and I still remember most everything about the book. I just wanted to let you know how much I love your writing and that I would love to see another book written about Tyler and more about what happens after they found out who really did it. I am really hoping that Bethany and Tyler makeup, I was hoping to see them end up together but if they did the plot wouldn’t have been so interesting and probably wouldn’t have gone as far. Also a movie on twisted would be awesome. If that happened it be really interesting to see the portrayal of the characters and who is picked to play them(especially Bethany and Tyler). But again I love your work and I love reading your books, and honestly, I have never loved anyone else’s books as much.
