Friday Five

1. The only thing of consequence on my mind is the suffering of the people of Haiti.

5. See above.

I’ll try to post again tomorrow. I actually have lots of news about various and sundry things, but honestly? It all seems trivial.

  1. Agreed

1-5. All the minor stresses that we worry about do seem so trivial in light of such a catastrophe.

  2. Have you checked out yet? Imagine the good you could do if you auctioned off, say, a character named after the winner, or the first ten pages of a new book before it’s published. I’ve already signed on to write for anyone who wants it and I’m not half so talented. I bet you’d end up raising a lot of money.

  3. About Your Book Speak

I’m sorry I’m commenting on something that has no relevance to your post, but I can’t figure out how to say something any other way. I’m just writing to say I really enjoyed Speak and read it in one sitting. It reminded me a lot of Just Listen by Sarah Dessen; both of the main characters are depressed and outcasts, and I love how you can’t tell what their problems are until the middle of the book. This is amazing for a first book!!!

  4. MOOI

THIS IS YOUR FATHER. HE IS BACK HOME. IT TURNS OUT THAT MARIE BIRD IS BETTER THAN ANYONE THOUGHT. IT SEEMS AS IF THERE HAS BEEN SOME WILLIE PLAYING GOING ON. BUT THE CROWD WE ARE MADE THINGS JUMP THERE.

OTHER THAN THAT, IT IS GOOD TO BE HOME AGAIN.

    LOVE YOU

    DAD
