  1. The tiny crinkle
    Between her eyebrows it
    Makes me feel sorry

I wrote a haiku, but I really wanted to ask a question. On your website, it says that your experiences working on a dairy farm and living on a pig farm are “the reasons she is not a vegetarian and never will be”.

Why did those experiences make you not a vegetarian?

    Sarah

  2. Distorted mirror
    Childhood lost and broken hip
    Smoke and drink creases

I need to go focus on something happy now.

  3. 3-parter!

    in this year of fear
my mother’s frown is not here
    she lies to help me

    if she thinks that lies
are what i need in my life
    she is very wrong

    she is very wrong
    her lies aren’t helping father
    they can’t make him well

  4. Mom is not happy.
Her mouth frowns, her eyes narrow.
    I’m in trouble now!

How’d I do? And just to make you jealous, it’s currently 63 degrees in NC, at 6pm. I bet it’s not that warm up there!

  5. haiku

    my mother’s frowning
    she knows my painful mistake
    and yet she loves me

    she frowns for justice
Longing just for me to smile
    she’s praying for me

    She is my hero
To see her frown makes me cringe
    I love her always

  7. How about these?

    Your smile depresses
    Your eyes bearing into mine
    What did I do now?

    0r

    Tears shine in your eyes
I hope you know I love you
    You are my hero
