PROM Book tour information

Several of you have written asking about the upcoming book tour. (Thanks.) I just posted all the details on my website. When you get to the page, scroll down to March and April. The basic schedule is this: Week One – California Week Two (not a book tour week – just school and library visits) – Michigan Week Three – home in Philly sleeping and writing Week Four – NC, CT, IL, IN & Oswego NY (official end of tour) Week Five – Texas Library Association Week Six – SPEAK events in New York City Week Seven – Wisconsin school and library events Week Eight – School visits in PA Rest of spring and summer – home sleeping and writing You’ll note that in California I’m scheduled to visit a couple schools. These visits were organized by “sponsor” stores. I will be signing stock for the sponsor stores as well as visiting the schools. I imagine if you contact the store ahead of time, you can work out getting a copy of PROM personalized to you, if you’d like. These are all terrific booksellers, and I am very excited about the trip. If you live near any of these towns, please come out to say hello. I want to hear your own prom stories!

    Oooh, cool–you’re coming to NC!

I’m a major fan of Speak (as well as Catalyst and Fever, but Speak was my favorite!), and have been reading your lj for a little while. I suppose this sounds vaguely random, but I just think it’s really neat that you’ll be coming here to talk and that my friends and I will be able to go see you. So the tour will be about Prom? I guess I’d better read that one as well. :)

PS–I’ve added you to my lj’s friends’ list. Is that okay?

I just wanted to thank you and your husband Scot once again for the wonderful donation you two have made to The Prom Project. Bridgette and I honestly had a wonderful time just hanging out with all of you at the bookstore today – you’re two amazing people and you both have an excellent sense of humor! :o ) I will most definitely be looking forward to the prom party coming up soon! :o )

Hi Ashley and Bridgette! We had a blast this afternoon. Thanks so much for coming out and dressing up. (I’ll try to post photos tomorrow.) It was a real pleasure meeting you, and we are psyched about the party on April 2nd.

Attention everyone – check out Ashley and Bridgette’s Prom Project!

      Is that inspiring or what???

I’m waiting for details about what I’m doing in NYC. Will post them as they become available.

SPEAK was chosen as New York’s One City, One Book title, and the events in April will revolve around that.

      Thanks for being Friendly. :)
