New look to this corner of the forest

Thanks to my computer-giftedly kid, adastraperasper, we are making some design changes here at LJ-land.

What do you think about the new look?? What do the colors look like on your computer?

  1. I think the look is nice, but I think I’d choose a different green 😛

I enjoy seeing mint greens and light blues on my computer.. and the girly pink 😉

  2. The background is pretty and mysterious looking and also inviting. I like it.

I see several shades of green in the title bars, etc. All these greens coordinate nicely with the background greens on my monitor but the overall look might be less busy and more soothing if only one shade of green was used (I like the darkest one best).

Also, the “powered by LJ” bar might look nice in green since it won’t line up properly with the other white boxes on my screen.

  3. The “From” bar is so dark you can’t read the user’s name on the comments. But I love the summer-greens, and the tree-and-sunlight background. Very Mad Woman in the Forest!

  4. I like it, but maybe like someone else said- have the same shade of green for everything. I also like the darkest green.

  5. GREEN!!!

I love the change! Very nice colors! I love how the light shines through the center of the picture, and how it peeks through the trees… Brings back memories of hiking with my mom (^_^)

…annnnnd now it is time for a very random, direct quote from http://www.infoplease.com/spot/colors1.html

    “Green

Currently the most popular decorating color, green symbolizes nature. It is the easiest color on the eye and can improve vision. It is a calming, refreshing color. People waiting to appear on TV sit in ‘green rooms’ to relax. Hospitals often use green because it relaxes patients. Brides in the Middle Ages wore green to symbolize fertility. Dark green is masculine, conservative, and implies wealth. However, seamstresses often refuse to use green thread on the eve of a fashion show for fear it will bring bad luck.”

Have a great weekend, summer, and… (Wait for the extremely cheesy message… wait for it… waaaait for it…. )

WRITE ON! (Now you may groan, shake your head, roll your eyes, etc.)

  6. A+

This layout and color scheme is yearbook approved! lol

I don’t think the From thing is too dark. Maybe my lighting settings are just lower than theirs.
