It’s over!

I am home.

Suitcase is empty.

Tired. Barely forming sentences.

Tea. Fire in fireplace.

Goshen, IN = fun. BEA conference = funner + insanity.

Off to Z now. More later, plus pics.

  1. When bad things come back, how do you deal with it? It’s that time of year. I know how I plan to deal with it. But it’s not very healthy and you wouldn’t approve. I’m not making any sense am I? Memorial Day sucks.

  2. Welcome back home! It must feel great after all that traveling.

I’m hoping to I’ll be accepted into the 2006 Rutgers One-on-One Conference. It was an amazing experience last year, and I’d love to hear your keynote speech.

  3. Congrats on making it through 🙂 Go take a long nap.

Napping should be an olympic sport. I think exhausted writers and college students would win every time.

  4. Climate of Teen Fiction

Hello. My name is Kiera Miller and I am an MLIS candidate at University of British Columbia. I am preparing a presentation on the Climate of Teen Fiction and am specifically addressing the question of whether or not teen fiction has become “edgier” in the past ten to fifteen years and, how do professionals (authors, publishers, librarians, etc.) define “edgy” teen fiction? What are their opinions about it? So far I have received quite heated and varied responses. I was wondering if you would be willing to share your comments about this topic? I haven’t been able to get a writers opinion yet.

    Thank you for your time.

  5. Re: Climate of Teen Fiction

    I wasn’t reading YA fiction 10 or 15 years ago, so I don’t know.

The word “edgy” confuses me. To be honest, I’m not sure what it means, and I don’t think it defines or impacts my work.

  6. One hour at a time. Sometimes, you have to deal with it five minutes at a time.

It helps to force yourself into a new place or activity. It is way too easy to fall back on bad habits when you are in the same place and doing the same things.

You are the only one who can decide if you want to do healthy things. But I sure hope that’s what you choose.

  7. nice pictures

Very nice picture of you and Sarah Dessen on her live journal.
That would have been a wonderful atmosphere to be around
    so many authors.

    Get some rest.
