Cold Coffee and Comic Books

I was a little distracted yesterday (there’s a surprise) and accidentally made my coffee strong enough strip paint. So I refrigerated it and found that with mucho milk and sugar it is quite tasty. That is my housekeeping tip of the day.

Bored? Take this comic book selector. What was your answer? Do you read comic books/graphic novels? Why or why not?

For those truly in the know (srtajustice and kzookev) what do you think of the choices offered by this quiz?

  1. it’s been a long morning

I took the selector, and got Berlin: City of Stones by Jason Lutes. I haven’t read that graphic novel, but I have read one of the other ones that was suggested: Maus, A Survivor’s Tale by Art Spiegelman. I highly enjoyed it and recommend it.

I read comic books and graphic novels. I love the gorgeous art and how they deal with different social issues.

BTW, I was pointed to your LJ by after I gushed about Speak. A friend who was at your reading in Kalamazoo lent it to me, and I could not put it down.

  7. Re: summer

Bethany is beautiful – at least it was the last time I was there… 16 years ago. Have fun!

Mer is going to Millersville Univerity, near Lancaster, PA. I am moving up to Mexico NY (between Syracuse and Watertown). I move in 16 days and am starting to freak out a little.

  10. Heavy on the girlier comics but a very nice selection. I got Adrian Tomine, whose work I love, so that much was accurate. Well done gurl! (Though everything they do is awesome, really.) It’d be nice to have more girls in comic stores.
