Stop The Presses!!

I found the lost Easter egg!!

(Go me-e! Go me-e!)

In previous years, it took four and then six months to find the Easter egg (yes, a real hard-boiled egg) that I oh-so, oh-too cleverly hid. And for the past 24 hours my family has been mercilessly teasing me because yep, I did it again. At the end of the Easter egg hunt we were one egg short and for the life of me I could not remember where it was.

But – ha! Ha! I say, ha! to all you doubters whom I birthed or married. Because I just found it….

…hidden in the box of Diet Mountain Dew soda.

And no, I did not include it in the deviled eggs we ate for dinner. Because I am not spiteful. I am sweet and forgiving, if a bit scatterbrained.

    1. At this point, writing down the hiding places would spoil the game!! But I won’t be surprised if they make me do it next year.

Very sorry about your mom… have you asked her to do it? Bribed her? Flattered her? Chocolate might help. It works for my kids when they want something.

  6. Haha! Great job! =P My family did that once! We haven’t found it yet, and that was last year it happend. Well, I’m sure my parents did find it, but didn’t say anything. We haven’t had any icky smell in our house, thank goodness.

Oh, I thought I should introduce myself properly! My name is Marlene! =D

  9. We hid eggs for the kids (ours were plastic) and it took entirely too long to find the last one that we had hid all of FIVE MINUTES BEFORE. *sigh*

You are still a hoot! Remember hunting plastic eggs with money inside? My dad always told us there was one hidden with PAPER money in it…after we searched forever (it seemed) the youngest child somehow would “find” it…

MDew Code Red is the standard here… 🙂

Spoke to your mom last night and we had a great chat. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help facilitate the move (they won’t ask I’m sure). I hate to think of them leaving, but they take with them my “good catholic guilt” over not keeping in touch. It is the right time for them.

    Hugs!
