South Dakota

I’m off to do a videoconference with some college classes in South Dakota. No, I’m not going to South Dakota. I’m going to a local college where I will stare into a videocamera and pretend I am in South Dakota. I have visions of that scene in Willy Wonka where the obnoxious kid in the cowboy outfit (Mike?) is transported into a television set.

If I get stuck, send chocolate.

PS – nytimes.com Book section has a great article about Francesca Lia Block. I love her books!!!

  1. Chocolate

I keep seeing visions of Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka.. it’s giving me nightmares. I read the book, and it was kind of weird. Well, I mean it was good, but in the book squirrels drag the spoiled rich girl into some hole instead of geese. I knew there was something about those critters. Especially when they eat out of our bird feeder.

  4. Ms. Anderson,

I met you at an SCBWI Carolina’s conference two years ago, I fell upon your journal and I just wanted to reiterate how much I love your books and say that I’m really looking forward to reading Prom when it comes out.

    Have a great day!

  7. I think you should ask for chocolate regardless 😉 Something in the size of the original bar, too!

I hope the videoconference went well – it’s always fun to stare at a camera (ha!).

well, you know, the drumline is convinently selling candy right now. and although I do not have dark chocolate with almonds, I have regular chocolate with almonds. find me if you can. I know it will be tough.
